BIOGRAPHY
I am a self-taught animal artist living and working in my hometown Hawes, North Yorkshire. Ever since I can remember I have loved to draw, after graduating from Lancaster University in 2014 with a degree in Marketing I decided to pursue my ambition of becoming a full time artist, and became professional in 2016. Spring that year I was delighted to open The Stacey Moore Art Gallery in my hometown of Hawes, after continued success the second Stacey Moore Gallery opened in Richmond North Yorkshire.
I’m so proud to call the Yorkshire Dales my home. With stunning landscapes, vibrant communities and a vast array of animals, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s no surprise that the Yorkshire wildlife and farm animals are the main inspirations behind my work. Working in coloured pencil allows me to draw these animals in detail and capture their characters. I love the feel and control I can get with a pencil, the textures, vibrancy and detail I can achieve with this medium is like no other.
I have exhibited nationally and was delighted to be recognised as one of Yorkshire leading wildlife artists (2017). 2018 I was a finalist in the category “New Starter Business’ at the Yorkshire Choice Awards. This year (2019) I was delighted to WIN the award 'Best Creative Business in the North' at the Rural Business Awards. I continually support many charities including; The Yorkshire Dales National Park Red Squirrel Conservation, Brooke action for working donkeys and mules and The British Royal Legion. Summer 2019 I was delighted to be interviewed by Jules Hudson about the success of growing a rural business on the O2 stage at Countryfile Live.
